Consider our physical body, none of us came out from our mother’s womb all grown and mature. We all began as infants and gradually we began to grow until full maturity. 

When we were infants, we didn’t feel bad about our size, somehow within us, we knew we would grow to become adults and it happened.

We knew it would take years to get there but hope remained alive in us—indeed, patience is a virtue that was at work in our lives unconsciously.

In addition, while we were kids, there were things we couldn’t do by ourselves, things we couldn’t carry or accomplish, but we didn’t fight the process.

Inherently, we were thought to enjoy our childhood, adolescence, teen stage, youth, till we became adults.

Therefore, if you could enjoy your physical growth process, why are you then in a haste with God’s working with you?

God is all-powerful, He could simply change your current situation within the twinkle of an eye.

However, we must understand that God isn’t a magician and if He does pull us to our destination instantly, He will be depriving us of the lessons and blessings we need to learn in the process.

It’s dangerous to interrupt God’s process for your life because every stage He takes you through is for a purpose and there is a lesson He wants you to learn from it.

This process qualifies you for the next stage and sustains you when you finally arrive at the peak.

You wouldn’t want to arrive at the top unprepared, that’s why you must be humble and learn how to grow daily—patience is a virtue you need to go through this phase of life. 

Besides, It’s often difficult to begin preparing when you arrive at the top, there won’t be time for that. The top is meant for manifestation and when you can’t offer this, you will be brought down the ladder. 

However, your growth stage is the preparation stage for your future greatness.

The savior Jesus Christ wasn’t a fall from the sky. 

He came in the form of a child and grew to maturity, learning what was necessary to beautify His manifestation. 

This is to prove how growth is important to God and inevitable in our works with him and in life.

Besides, If Jesus could enjoy the process of growth for 33 years what stops you?  

The process of growth is meant to be enjoyed not endured if we must learn what is expected. Hence, it’s a mixture of both good, bad, beautiful, ugly, and everything in-between, all made to prepare us for the life of greatness.

Therefore, we must be vigilant to learn the lesson at all times, because there is always something to learn in whatever stage we find ourselves. 

Perhaps, if you fail to learn that lesson, you won’t be qualified to proceed to the next stage. That’s why we keep having repeated events in our lives and we can’t seem to understand why; God is simply saying we haven’t learned the lesson which is pivotal for the next phase of our lives.

God is so intentional about the attributes of patience because patience is a virtue that brings growth designed by God to change our lives.

Patience Is a Virtue That Brings Growth, Don’t Entertain Fear

We need to trust God confidently as we learn how to grow daily through life challenges.

And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.—Philippians 1:6

It’s one of the nature of God to complete whatever He has started. 

Hence, we mustn’t doubt His workings in our life as we submit to Him. Let’s become convinced that since He has begun a good work in us, He can perfect it.

Every dealing of God with us is always good and pleasant.

So, don’t ever assume your current level is a punishment from God. It’s simply a process that you have to go through and learn the lessons. 

That said, at every location, field, or circumstance you find yourself, you must always ask the Lord to open your eyes to see the lessons He wants you to learn.

Patience Is a Virtue That Brings Growth: Refuse to Complain

Refuse to complain about your current level, it’s your preparation stage. 

Imagine Jesus had complained about being born as a carpenter’s son and refused to assist His parents back then, do you think He would have been qualified as the Saviour of the world? 

Absolutely Not. 

But He chose to learn in humility. Likewise, we’re to learn humility to progress to the next phase of our lives.

In addition, there are lots of attributes God desires we learn at every stage in life, which are designed to make us look more like Him. 

This includes positive thought patterns and  fruits of the spirits where we see that patience is a virtue and pivotal in our journey here on Earth.

But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things, there is no law [that can bring a charge].—Galatians 5:22-23

Final Thoughts on Patience Is a Virtue That Brings Growth

While you aren’t where you’re meant to be, you must enjoy the process of growth and preparation God is taking you through—don’t be in a hurry and interrupt His plans for your life.

Indeed, patience Is a virtue that brings growth, so don’t rush yourself outside of God’s plan for you. 

Outside God’s leading, you become vulnerable, because His grace is inactive in the atmosphere of disobedience. 

Hence, stay in the circumference of God’s presence and get to enjoy His protection and grace as you grow into a pillar of success and get your life back on track.
