Oftentimes, what is being removed from our lives during the pruning stage are those things we feel we can’t do without because our flesh desires them.
But, you must realize that the flesh always wants those things that are contrary to the desires of the Spirit.

Furthermore, you are the light of the world when you abide in the lord without being unstable in your walk with Him.
Without Christ, you can do nothing, for He is the one who empowers you to do exploit and nobody else.
Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.—John 15:2 (AMP)
