Money is a value assert needed for transaction and survival here on Earth.

Irrespective of your race, religion, and status you need money to operate here on Earth.

However, money in itself isn’t evil but the level of value placed on money makes people go the extra mile to get it.

Sadly, some don’t mind making money at the expense of someone else’s existence. And this is when it becomes dangerous.

In this guide, I’ll share with you my candid advice on making money the right way.

Let’s begin.

The Society Standard on Making Money

According to our societal standard, you must work to earn money—that seems fair.

But it steps further to dictate how people are respected in our society based on how much money they possess.

Certainly, everyone wants to be treated respectfully. So, even when their needs are met, they still want more money to attract the societal type of respect.

However, making money for this reason is an unhealthy money attitude that breeds greed and selfishness in a person’s life.

Unfortunately, looking around our world today, many seem to be controlled by money. Hence, what they say, the friends they keep, and the way they behave is influenced by money.

God Standard on Making Money

God desires to see us in control of money not money in control of us.

However, If we must step into that reality, we need to be committed to making money the right way.

God is the source of everything we could ever need in life and He isn’t withholding those things from us.

But, when we choose to make money the way the world does, we end up with a bad money attitude. In contrast, building a healthy money attitude is possible when we ask the Lord for provision and direction.

What’s a Bad Money Attitude?

A bad money attitude is a way of making money that makes a person feel he can achieve what he wants by his strength before coming back to seek God.

Also, this attitude is synonymous to greed, always wanting more and never being satisfied.

Those infected with this attitude end up using their money for the wrong purpose. Since their life is now under the grip of money, they become lovers of money.

In addition, a bad money attitude grips one with the fear of losing that money someday.

So, these types of people lack peace of mind, and are always checking to see if their money is intact.

Unfortunately, those who seem to have a negative love for money are only making themselves tools to be used for evil.

For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute [mental] pangs. —1 Timothy 6:10

In other words, unhealthy craving after money makes one vulnerable to fall off the faith and wander into destruction.

On the contrary, we could enjoy peace with ourselves and God when we ask the Lord to lead in terms of making money the right way.

God is the only one that blesses a man without adding sorrow. Hence, wealth that comes from God is good!

God, the Only True Source of Financial Blessings

When we seek God first and place Him above all, we get all our needs met with detailed directions on how we can attain financial freedom—control over money.

This doesn’t mean staying idle, or doing nothing and money begins to locate you.

In contrast, you need to be doing something that God can pour His blessings upon—something legal!

But, we must seek the direction of God before commencing a business or working for any firm.

Why?

Only what God authors, He is authorized to bless.

Besides, don’t expect the blessings of God upon an illegal source of making money.

In addition, don’t limit God to just blessing you through the works of your hands. That’s only one of the many channels God uses to bless us.

Keep your faith activated to receive from other multiple channels.

Don’t Stay Idle, Maximize Your Talent

God isn’t interested in those who simply fold their arms doing nothing and expect something to happen to them, nor is He interested in blessing those whose ways of making money aren’t clean.

We see this reflected in the parable of the talent illustrated in Matthew 25:14-29

The master entrusted talents(money) to three of his servants; to the first, he gave five talents, to the second two talents, and to the third he gave one talent.

Afterward, he departed on his trip, expecting his servants to trade with these talents and make profits before his arrival.

The first and second servants had a healthy and positive attitude towards money and traded with what they were assigned and gained five and two more irrespectively.

However, the third servant had a bad money attitude and left his money dormant.

On their master’s return, the servants who did what was right had pleasant rewards and the one with a wrong attitude had all he had taken away from him.

Hear the conclusion of the master;

For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will be furnished richly so that he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away.—Matthew 25:29

This is a wake-up call for you to get something done, start utilizing the talents, skills, and abilities God has deposited in you—don’t allow it to lay dormant and undeveloped.

In addition, they’re people out there in need of your skills and willing to pay you for it. Get busy now!

Final Thoughts on Making Money the Right Way

If we want to see an increase financially we must get accountable for the things we utilize our money on.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t get things for yourself, or solve your needs with your money.

But, you should strike a balance in all you do including your giving to the kingdom of God and to the poor.

Also, you should crave an attitude of contentment. Only then can you be satisfied and happy with where God has brought you and trust Him to lead you further according to His blueprint for your lives.

Under the guidance of God, making money the right way is possible. So, don’t let society pressure you into ungodly means.
